Isometrix Lighting research
“Architecture is the correct and masterly play of masses brought together in light” – Le Corbusier
Architect, Arnold Chan set up Isometrix in 1984. Arnold Chan trained at the Architectural Association, which has laid the foundations for his innovative and versatile architectural approach to lighting design that sets Isometrix apart from the work of more traditional lighting engineers. Isometrix pushes the boundaries and captures the full potential of lighting as a creative tool. As described on the Isometrix website, they do this “by visualising the impact of light within a three dimensional space an integrated mix of lighting effects that enhance the sense of spatial flow within buildings’ interiors”. Isometrix remains at the forefront of innovative lighting design by keeping abreast of new and advanced lighting technology and by working with the leading manufacturers in specific areas of expertise and designing or adapting equipment to suit each particular project. Their lighting systems are creative and highly sophisticated; creating beautiful, expressive and emotive environments through their clever combinations of colour and light.
Isometrix has a stunning portfolio of private, commercial, residential, retail, hotel and cultural lighting projects, (please visit their website via the link above), and they also have an extensive portfolio of architects and designers that they have worked in collaboration with, such as:
